The center point of Cape May's downtown area is the Washington Street Mall, a three block pedestrian mall that extends on Washington Street from Ocean to Perry Streets. Cape May's main drag has everything from T-shirt shops, to hand-crafted jewelry, to one-of-a-kind gift shops. A sampling of some of our favorite shops include:
Cape May has about a dozen antique stores located throughout the town. Stop by the Antique Doorknob on Park Boulevard to view their Victorian dollhouse and also the ornately carved upright piano, once owned by the family of the late Princess Diana. A detailed map of all of Cape May's antique stores is available at the Front Desk.
No visit to Cape May would be complete without a stop at Cape May Wicker. Located on the road to Cape May Point, Cape May Wicker features a huge selection of wicker at incredible prices. Open year round, off-street parking is a definite plus. Make plenty of room in the back of your car for all your purchases. Rated a must see by the Angel staff.
Another favorite with visitors to town is the Cape May Linen Outlet. Drop by for a wide selection of designer decorating at real outlet prices.
Artisans Alcove is located around the corner from the Washington Street Mall and features the largest collection of estate jewelry in South Jersey. Specializing in appraisals, engagement rings and watch and jewelry repair, the Alcove's expert staff includes a certified gemologist.
Hours of operation for many stores in town vary widely depending upon the time of year and day of week.
Located in our elegant Victorian lobby, our gift shop probably has the best and most convenient shopping hours of any shop in town. (We are open daily, year round from 9 am to 11 pm. Closed December 25th.) We offer the largest selection of angels in South Jersey, along with a wide variety of Angel of the Sea souvenir items. We also have Victorian style jewelry at the best prices in town.
